For countless generations, the Kwantlen People and other local neighbouring First Nations communities lived in villages along the lower Fraser River that shaped a vibrant cultural landscape.

The Mohawk piano player from Six Nations of the Grand River Territory brings his culture and history to the masses through his music.
With a mix of blues, country, and humour, Porter’s gravelly, soulful voice sings not only of the history and contemporary stories of the Aboriginal Peoples of Canada, but also universal themes of love, lost and found. He has spent over 30 years playing his self-taught unique style of footstomping, hand clapping blues piano around the world.

Standup comic Brian Majore brings his edgy, no-holds-barred brand of humour to lelem' Arts & Cultural Cafe. Comedy makes people laugh, but the kind of truth-telling Majore aspires to often leaves a contact burn. It may hurt a bit!

Majore, of Haida/Cree descent, recently released his debut CD, “The Bloody Savage”.

Ronnie Dean Harris aka Ostwelve, is a Stō:lo/St'át'imc hip-hop artist based in Vancouver, BC. Ron has performed in numerous festivals and has opened for acts such as Guru, K’naan, Asbtract Rude and Snoop Dogg to name a few. Ron has also had the opportunity to perform as a part of the red diva projects ensemble project “The Road Forward” at the 2013 PuSh Festival in Vancouver.
